Discover Sicily - Fly Drive Holidays in Sicily

This journey will reveal Sicily with its rich history, outstanding natural beauty, hospitality and varied kitchen. You will stay at four different agriturismos during this roundtrip; special places that will bring you in touch with the Sicilian traditions, local cuisine and the rural life.

Sicily’s history comes to life through its beautiful Greek temples, picturesque Baroque cities, medieval castles and Saracen towers. Mount Etna is one of the highlights but certainly not the only one.

15 day individual roundtrip in agriturismos and B&B

Day 1 - 5

You fly to either Palermo or Trapani. This is where your car will be ready for you and you can start discovering Sicily. Your first destination is the Eastern North coast of Sicily.

The first three nights you will stay at Agriturismo La Collina dei Nebrodi. The strategic location of this accommodation is a perfect starting point from which to discover the many highlights, such as:

• The picturesque town of Cefalù
• Monte Nebrodi national park
• The ceramic centre of Santo Stefano di Camastra
• The Aeolian islands

Day 5 - 8
You then drive on towards the east of Sicily where you will stay at Agriturismo Galea for four days. It is an excellent place from which to discover:

• Mount Etna, Europe’s most active volcano
• The towns Taormina, Riposto and Acireale
• The Monti Peloritani and the Gola di Alcantara (canyon)
• The Baroque city Syracuse with its Greek theatre
• A cycle tour to the beach

Day 8 - 11
You continue your journey towards southern Sicily. Agriturismo Ciucis Manor will be your home for the coming three days. This family-run accommodation will allow you to get in touch with the authentic Sicilian atmosphere. This region is a fascinating one; here are some of the highlights:

• The Valle dei Temple near Agrigento
• La Scala dei Turchi, a unique natural phenomenon on the coast
• The ancient mountain village Sant’Angelo di Muxaro
• The seaside town Sciacca and the archaeological site of Eraclea Minoa

Day 11 - 15
You will spend your last four nights at B&B Don Carlo in the fascinating western part of Sicily. This accommodation is situated in a beautiful landscape and is an excellent starting point from which to discover this part of Sicily. We can recommend visiting:

• Palermo and Monreale with its cathedral
• The Egadi islands
• The ancient mountain town Érice and the saltpans of Trapani
• The Temple of Segesta
• The site of Selinunte

On your last day you will drive back to the airport of Palermo or Trapani to return the car and check in for your flight home. You will surely carry many memories of Sicily and the Sicilians with you. Below you will find more information about the different accommodations.
